Commonwealth Court upholds our appeal

Friday, February 26, 2016

Dear Board and Provident Charter School Supporters:

After 5 years of effort I am pleased to report that we received notification from the Commonwealth Court of PA that, by a vote of 6 for and 1 dissent, they have upheld the decision of the PA Charter Appeal Board!!!!!!!! Now the real work begins. The School District has 30 days if they wish to take this decision to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. With that said, now is the time for us to move forward and prepare to open the school.

It is now incumbent upon the board to take the necessary actions, obtain the necessary funding, and open the school. I will work with Jean and our consultants to prepare an agenda to meet this goal of a school opening for the 2016-2017 school year. We are now prepared to approach parents that this school is a reality. I look forward to working with all of you to finally open this school that is so badly needed in Western Pennsylvania.

Forward and no retreat.

I once again thank you for all your support and participation in this worthy cause.

Sincerely,
Curtis Kossman
President of Provident Charter School Board
