Event Name: PTO’s Back to School Bash

Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026

Time: 4:00pm – 7:00pm

Location: PCS West – 200 Quigley Drive, Baden, PA 15005

Overview:  Come meet other PCS West families, enjoy food, and make connections as we kick off the new school year. The event will include a potluck, music, a uniform swap, and Gaga Ball.

  • Families are encouraged to bring gently used uniforms to swap with other families. Uniforms may also be dropped off prior to the event.
  • Please bring chairs or blankets for your family.

We look forward to seeing our PCS West families there!

Event Name: Building Connections

Details: 

    • Grades 1-3 Tuesday, September 15, 2026 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
    • Grades *4-8 Thursday, September 17, 2026 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm*
        •  *PCS West’s will end at 7:30 pm*

Location: PCS Central & PCS West

Overview:  Building Connections Night is an opportunity for students and families to connect with their teachers, explore their classroom, and gain a deeper understanding of the learning experiences, routines, and expectations that will shape the school year. Families will learn about curriculum, communication, grading, and ways to partner with teachers to support student success while strengthening the home-school partnership.

Monthly Meet-up (Virtual)

Our September session featured Mrs. Maria Paluselli, CEO. Her presentation described PCS’ efforts to increase kindness and decrease negative interactions among our students. 

Our November Monthly Meet-Up featured members of the PCS Board of Trustees in a panel-style discussion. Board members shared how and why they became involved with PCS, their personal connections to dyslexia, what inspired them to stay engaged, and their vision for the school’s future.

Our January meet-up featured staff members, Ms. Amanda Pinto and Ms. Meghan Bryte, who shared how both schools build positive school culture through spirit initiatives, student council, House events, traditions, and annual celebrations, and more.

Our February session featured two of our Curriculum Coordinators, Mrs. Bollinger and Mrs. DeJesus. They provided an overview of our core curriculum, including how we teach reading, writing, and math, as well as the targeted interventions that support students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences.

This presentation gives participants a look behind the scenes of Provident Charter Schools –  from our founding story to our biggest upcoming initiatives.
