Time: 7:00pm-8:00pm

Meeting Link: https://meet.google.com/tek-vkfc-pyy or dial: 601-732-5394‬ PIN: ‪927 025 846‬#

Overview:  Mrs. Paluselli, CEO, will be sharing key updates regarding our school operations and programming. For families who cannot attend, the meeting will be recorded and posted on our school website for you to view at your convenience.

Agenda & Key Topics:

  • New School Start Time: Beginning this Fall, our daily schedule is shifting by a few minutes. School doors will now open at 7:38 AM to welcome students. Breakfast will be served from 7:40-8:00 a.m. and students will be considered tardy at 8:05 a.m.
  • PCS Central Afterschool Care & Transportation Updates:
    • Please be advised that PCS Central will no longer be offering Champions afterschool care.
    • It is also unknown at this time if there will be transportation to the Sarah Heinz House afterschool program for the upcoming year. While it is not a far distance, the impact to the Central budget to provide this transportation is not sustainable. Our leadership team is currently evaluating alternative options to support our families. We will discuss these potential solutions during the Town Hall, and are open to any creative solutions from family members.
  • Student Dress Code & Uniform Policy Review: We are considering updates to our student dress code guidelines. During the Town Hall, we will share the potential options we are exploring.

Survey Link: https://forms.gle/NmZQGZP8gWtQZSA86

Overview:  School uniforms have been a part of the PCS since 2020, with intended benefits such as simplified morning routines and a unified school identity. However, we also recognize that families and staff have diverse perspectives on the practicality, cost, and enforcement of a strict uniform code.

As we look ahead, we are exploring options for updating our uniform policy. Please take 3 to 5 minutes to complete our confidential survey. Whether you strongly favor keeping our current uniforms or feel it is time for a change, your voice will directly guide our decision-making committee.

Event Details Coming Soon!

Overview:  We are excited to invite our families to a brand-new “Walk Your Schedule” Open House prior to the start of the school year! Due to a highly concentrated professional development schedule for our staff this summer, we are shifting from our “Meet the Teacher” format to this self-guided experience. During this open house, you and your child will have the opportunity to explore the building together, locate your child’s classrooms, and comfortably walk through their daily class schedule to ease those first-day jitters. Please note that while school staff will be on hand to assist with navigation and hand out schedules, our classroom teachers will not be present. We look forward to welcoming you into the building to help your student feel fully prepared and confident for day one!
