We appreciate your interest in Provident Charter School for your child. The school is open to all students, but is particularly designed for students who have dyslexia or other language-based learning differences. Provident Charter School is an approved Pennsylvania Charter School.
The Application Process
Our open enrollment period for the 2021-2022 school year will begin on February 1, 2021 and end on February 28, 2021 at midnight. Applications received after the open enrollment period will be processed/placed on the waiting list in the order they were received.

Public Enrollment Lottery
To ensure equal access to enrollment, Provident Charter School will conduct a public enrollment lottery annually with applications received during the open enrollment period. The public enrollment lottery for the 2021-2022 school year will take place at Provident Charter School on March 5, 2021 at 11 am.
On the lottery date, one of the following scenarios will occur:
(1) If student applications do not exceed the number of available seats in a grade, all applicants will be given a space in the grade, or
(2) If student applications exceed the number of available seats in a grade, a lottery will be conducted for that grade with preference first being given to:
1. Students who have a sibling currently enrolled
2. Children who are residents of the City of Pittsburgh
Any students not receiving a space will be placed on the waiting list in the order their names are drawn. All applications received after February 28, 2021 will be placed on the waiting list in the order they are received.
